RYA / MCA Yachtmaster Ocean Online Theory
The RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean theory course covers advanced navigation techniques for Ocean sailing. It's ideal for those on an Ocean Passage or Commercial Skippers and Mates operating more than 150 nautical miles from a safe haven.
The course teaches Astro-Navigation principles, worldwide meteorology, and passage planning for ocean voyages. Completion must be within 12 months.

Duration
- The course is 40 hours plus exam time.
The exam if taken online will be classed as not being invigilated. If you require this as part of a commercial endorsement it will need to be invigilated, we can arrange for this to be done with us or you can do it during your oral examination.
