What to Expect on the Water
- Practical Instruction: We believe in learning by doing. Our instructors demonstrate the techniques, then hand over the helm so you get maximum practice in a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere.
- Onboard Comfort: We take cleanliness and comfort seriously. You will arrive to freshly made beds, towels, and all necessary wet-weather gear. We also provide good, home-cooked food tailored to your crew’s dietary requirements.
- Consistent Conditions: Lanzarote provides excellent sunshine and some of the most reliable winds of any sailing area, making it an ideal, year-round classroom. Strict
- Safety Standards: We sail on well-maintained, fully equipped yachts that meet strict Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) standards.
Stephanie Charlton | School Principal
Stephanie left a corporate career as a regional business manager and trainer to help build Endeavour Sailing. She uses that background to manage the school and enforce our high standards for staff training and onboard comfort. Stephanie is highly active on the water and in the classroom as an RYA Cruising Instructor, Yachtmaster Theory Instructor, First Aid, VHF, and Radar Instructor.
Keith Charlton | Chief Instructor
After years in the fast-paced UK oil business, Keith turned his lifelong passion into his day job. With over 40 years of racing and cruising experience, he is a founding member and our Chief Instructor. As an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor, Cruising Instructor Trainer, VHF, and Radar Instructor, Keith sets an incredibly high bar to ensure candidates are fully prepared for their exams. Just beware of the Geordie accent!
Our Yachts
All our yachts are maintained in excellent condition and generously equipped to meet the strict safety standards of the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency. Because we manage our fleet directly, we can ensure they are perfectly outfitted and meticulously maintained for both professional RYA sail training and relaxing charter holidays in the Canaries.

- Built for Learning & Cruising: They are easy to handle and very forgiving of little mistakes as you build your confidence at the helm.
- Practical Layout: They offer roomy accommodation below deck, including a good-sized chart table that is essential for navigation training.
- Fully Equipped: Outfitted with modern navigation electronics (Radar, Chart Plotters, GPS, Autopilot), practical sail setups (pack-a-main, roller reefing, cruising chutes), and a spray hood to keep the occasional wave at bay.
- Onboard Comfort: Fitted with hot and cold water, a shower on the bathing platform, a fridge, and an electric anchor windlass.
Kusuru | Bavaria 37
Kusuru is a well equipped and great teaching yacht. In addition to all our standard equipment she is fitted with a Cruising shute and a Spray hood, essential for that occasional wave.
