We provide well-maintained Yachts, well equipped, and safe conforming to the strict Maritime and Coastguard Agency standards.

To provide expert tuition – our instructors will demonstrate first and then it will be your turn to practise as many times as possible for you to learn and grow with confidence. We strive to ensure not only the best tuition by fully trained and highly experienced instructors but by creating a relaxed and easy going atmosphere, ensuring fun is had. We wish you to enjoy your holiday as well.

We want you to enjoy your stay with us, and we believe the most fulfilling course is achieved by gaining increased knowledge, competence and confidence.  Knowing you have learnt and improved your sailing skills.

The weather is an added bonus, with good hours of sunshine and probably the most consistent winds in any sailing area to ensure pleasant cruising.

Please contact us if you require any further information about our RYA Sailing courses, Sailing charters and other services.

Our instructors

All our skippers are RYA qualified instructors and have been sailing for years in many locations, waters and environments. This experience provides a wealth of knowledge far beyond the average instructor. More importantly, our instructors love sailing and love sharing their passion with you.

Stephanie Charlton

Stephanie Carlton - Endeavour Sailing

Stephanie also left the corporate life behind.  As a Regional Business Manager in the Pharmaceutical Industry and previous to that a Trainer, she has a wealth of knowledge on organising, people management and development, which she brings to her current role as School Principal. Along with Keith, Stephanie is driven in turning their dream into a success.

Stephanie is the school principal, and has set standards for staff training, cleanliness and comfort far above those of many other sailing schools, to ensure excellent instruction and a comfortable stay with us.

As a RYA Cruising Instructor, RYA Yachtmaster Theory Instructor, RYA First Aid and RYA VHF Instructor,  Stephanie plays an active role in the instruction as well as running the school.

Keith Charlton

Keith Carlton - Endeavour Sailing

After leaving corporate life back in the UK, where he had a hectic work schedule within the oil business, Keith turned his passion for sailing into his life.

Keith is one of the founding members of Endeavour Sailing and our Chief Instructor. He is also a RYA Yachtmaster Instructor, Cruising Instructor Trainer, RYA VHF Instructor and RYA Radar Instructor and has been instructing for many years. He has been sailing for over 40 years (although he will not admit it) with a vast amount of racing and cruising.

Keith sets high standards and thus ensures that the yachtmaster candidates are well prepared for their exams before.

But beware of the Geordie accent!

Bob Dootson

Bob Dootson - Endeavour Sailing

After many years working as a senior manager working in the corporate telecomm industry, I finally had the courage to leave it all behind to follow my number 1 passion – sailing, particularly instructing, and subsequently set up my own UK based RYA theory training centre.

I have been delivering RYA navigation courses since 2013, and delivering practical courses as a freelance instructor since 2018.

I have extensive sailing experience in the UK, southern Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar, The Canaries, Morocco, Leeward Isles - Caribbean, The Azores, and have completed a trans-Atlantic passage.

My greatest pleasure is to take my students through their own learning curve to enable them to achieve their goals of being both a competent and confident crew and skipper.

If asked what my value as an instructor is, I often reply - “its not what I do or give, its what I develop and enable you to be…………”

Andy Anderson

Andy Anderson - Endeavour Sailing

Andy has been messing around in boats since he was a teenager. He is a Yachtmaster Instructor, Powerboat Instructor, Dinghy Instructor and RYA Race Coach. As an amateur sailor he has taken part in many offshore races including the ill fated 1979 Fastnet race where his yacht returned with six additional people on board. More recently he has sailed across the Atlantic.

Having given up a normal job in 2016 Andy has been teaching and racing yachts on a full-time basis in the UK, Asia, Mediterranean, Caribbean and Lanzarote.

His relaxed style, sense of humour and depth of knowledge create a learning environment that the students love!

Dale Oliver

Dale Oliver - Endeavour Sailing

From club swimming at an early age and then canoeing, windsurfing and dinghy sailing the progression (with age) to cruising on bigger boats was a natural if not inevitable progression for me. The phrase “the world is your oyster” comes to mind and having the ability to sail to secluded areas of coastline which are otherwise un-accessible and share the freedom of dolphins, whales, seals and a multitude of other wildlife in their own backyard is a fabulous experience that I love to share with others.

After 20 years as a Physicist in the nuclear industry the opportunity to share my enthusiasm and passion for sailing with others by helping to not only develop their sailing skills and techniques but to share the enjoyment and thrill of sailing through teaching and instructing in a relaxed learning environment is hugely rewarding.
